San Nicolas

Our meditation today arises from the approved apparition of Our Lady of the Rosary in San Nicolas, Argentina. This apparition was approved May 22, 2016, yet very few people know the contents of its message.
Jesus and Mary appear to Gladys Quirogo de Motta, a wife and mother of two daughters, from September 25, 1983 to February 11, 1990 giving more than 1800 messages. Mary appeared to Gladys wearing a Blue cloak with white veil holding the child Jesus in her left arm and the Rosary in her right.
Our Lady asked that a new Church be constructed in honor of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary near the river because water is a sign of life and blessing. The Bishop however wanted a sign. Well he got one. A 7yr old boy named Gonzolo was dying of brain cancer and he was paralyzed on the right side, however he wanted to receive 1st Communion before he died. The Bishop sent a priest to give him 1st Communion and entrust him to Our Lady of the Rosary. 45 minutes after receiving Jesus in the Eucharist the paralysis left. Within three weeks the large tumor was completely gone. The Bishop got his sign and started building the Church.
On November 16, 1984 Gladys received the Stigmata, the wounds of Christ in her hands, feet, and shoulder – where Jesus carried the cross and in her side where the soldier pierced his heart with the spear.
Our Lady said to Gladys: “God's warning is over the world. Those who stay in the Lord have nothing to fear, but those who deny what comes from him do. Two-thirds of the world is lost (in danger of rejecting God and Heaven) and the other part must pray and make reparation for the Lord to take pity. The devil wants to have full domination over the earth. He wants to destroy. The earth is in great danger."
On August 5, 1988 Our Lady of the Holy Rosary said:
The more time passes, the more my presence is necessary for mankind. I am very worried for my children…Today it is the Mother of Heaven who comes down to convert souls. Today it is the heart of a Mother who protects her children…
May 13, 1989, …as previously in Fatima, today my visits are renewed on Earth. They are more frequent and more prolonged because humanity is passing through very dramatic times. Has man not understood that he must be uniquely at the service of God? If he resists, he soul will be lost. Mary hearts do not accept my invitation to prayer and conversion. That is why the work of the devil is growing and expanding. My dear children, it is only through prayer and conversion that you will return to God. May he not find your hearts dry.

June 7, 1986
I ask the young people of the whole world, those who have taken on evil ways: Why do you do so many foolish things? Are you orphans? Do you not have a God? Do you not have your heavenly Mother? It is time to purify yourselves my dear children!

There is an urgency to the messages of Jesus and Mary at San Nicolas. On December 30, 1989, Jesus said: “Formerly, the world was saved by the ark of Noah. Today the Ark is My Mother. Through her, souls will be saved, because she will lead them to me. He who rejects My Mother rejects Me! Many are letting the grace of God pass by in these days.”
Mary is the New Ark where we are to find refuge from the flood of evil that is swamping the world today.

At San Nicolas Mary said: “The weapon that has the greatest influence on evil is to say the Rosary."
On April 10, 1986 the visionary reported she saw an enormous crown of white rosaries. Then Mary, the Mother of God said to her: You see this crown because this is what I want you to do, create a real crown of rosaries. Pray my daughter pray. How many mouths remain silent, still without even knowing a single prayer which may bring them close to the Lord! The Holy Rosary is the weapon which the enemy fears. It is also the refuge of those who look for relief for their sufferings, and it is the door to enter into my heart. Glory to the Lord for the Light which He gives the world.

One of the most important fruits of the Apparition at San Nicolas is that people came together to pray the Rosary.
Friends and families came together to pray the Rosary by the 1000s. And in a culture in which men were rarely involved with their faith, men actually led the effort to gather together to pray the Rosary.
Our Lady is asking the same thing of us – that we come together and pray the Rosary. Once a week get together with family or friends – have people over for food and drinks, pray the Rosary and talk – it’s that simple. And in this effort – men - you have to get over your pride, timidity, inertia – whatever is holding you back and lead the charge to gather people to pray the Rosary together.
This is what Our Queen and Our Mother is asking of us. Will you let her down?
