Archangels
one
Today is the Feast of the Archangels.
We know from Scripture and Tradition there are nine groups of Angles organized in three levels with three groups in each level.
1. The Seraphim, the Cherubim, and the Thrones.
2. The Dominions, Virtues, and Powers.
3. The Principalities, the Archangels, and the Angels.
An angelic hierarchy is a sacred order of Angels
· who share in the knowledge and activity of God.
· They in turn, guide and convey knowledge to those Angels below them,
· who in their turn convey knowledge, guide and protect us
· as in the case of the Archangels whom we celebrate today and the Guardian Angels on Oct 2.
An angelic choir is
· A vast number of angels that share
· some common aspect of nature and function with other Angels of the same choir.
Three Things Angels do:
1. Fight against the powers of evil to defend us
2. Announce the will of God to us
3. Help and Heal us
This corresponds to the Three Angels who’s name we know
· St. Michael – who cast Satan into hell
· St, Gabriel – who announced God’s plan to Mary and Joseph
· St. Raphael – who brought healing to Sarah and Tobit

One morning in 1884 Pope Leo XIII celebrated morning Mass and went to a meeting with the Cardinals.
Suddenly he sank to the floor in unconsciousness. Doctors were called for, they could barely detect a pulse but could discern no cause for the Pope’s collapse. Suddenly Pope Leo awoke and was fresh as ever.
He reported that he had seen a terrible vision in which the Devil and his demons would gain great power and seem to rule in the latter half of the 20th and first part of the 21st century. The goal of Satan’s domination was the complete destruction of humanity.
In his vision, Pope Leo XIII saw St. Michael the Archangel appear and cast Satan with all his demons back into Hell. Seeing that we needed the help of the Angelic Army and especially its leader St. Michael, Pope Leo XIII composed the Prayer to St Michael and then commanded it be prayed at the end of every Mass throughout the world perpetually.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
The entire Church prayed the prayer of St. Michael after every Mass until about 1968. Then for some unknown, and demonic reason we abruptly stopped, and literally all hell broke loose in the late 60’s with no-fault divorce, contraception, abortion, the sexual revolution, the breakdown of the family, rampant drug use and the rapid inculcation of Marxist ideologies in our government and education system.
· I think we need to turn back to St. Michael!

In the spiritual battle there is a very important alliance between Mary, the Queen of the Universe and St. Michael the Archangel.
The Book of Revelation chapter 12 states: “Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman, adorned with the sun, standing on the moon, and with the twelve stars on her head for a crown… The woman brought a male child into the world, the son who was to rule all the nations with an iron scepter, and the child was taken straight up to God and to his throne.” This woman is Mary, the Queen of the Universe
Then a second sign appeared in the sky, a huge red dragon which had seven heads and ten horns, and each of the seven heads crowned with a coronet.
And now war broke out in heaven, when Michael with his angels attacked the dragon. The dragon fought back with his angels, but they were defeated and driven out of heaven. The great dragon, the primeval serpent, known as the devil or Satan, who had deceived all the world, was hurled down to the earth and his angels were hurled down with him…
Then the dragon was enraged with the woman and went away to make war on the rest of her children, that is, all who obey God's commandments and bear witness for Jesus.
Let the heavens rejoice and all who live there; but for you, earth and sea, trouble is coming - because the devil has gone down to you in a rage, knowing that his days are numbered.’

The Spiritual Battle
I don’t think I need to convince you on how effective Satan has been with his demonic and human servants of darkness to create a culture that is enticing, enslaving and destructive of Catholicism, the family and moral goodness.
While Satan was busy destroying the culture, Our Lady has been appearing with a greater frequency and urgency from 1830 in the Miraculous Medal apparition to this very day at Medjugorje, which the Ruini Commission approved the first seven apparitions.
God, Our Lady, St Michael, Gabriel, Raphael and all our Guardian Angels are with us, fighting on our behalf.
But we must do our part. In the approved apparition of San Nicolas, Our Lady stated:
Two-thirds of the world is lost (that means in danger of going to Hell by their own free choice) and the other part must pray and make reparation for the Lord to take pity. The devil wants to have full domination over the earth. He wants to destroy. The earth is in great danger."
The 1/3 that is listening – that means you – must do all they can to help the 2/3 in danger.
Our Lady has repeated told us that if we do what she is asking we can change world events and help save souls.

The Weapons of our spiritual warfare
Develop a friendship with the Archangels and Angels
Pray the St. Michael prayer, but don’t stop there. The Archangels and angels are real persons, more powerful than Satan and all the demons. They are ready to help if we engage them in the battle, but they will not act on our behalf without our consent.
St Faustina experienced the help of St. Michael: “On the feast of St Michael the Archangel, I saw by my side that great Leader, who spoke these words to me – ‘The Lord has ordered me to take special care of you. Know that you are hated by evil; but do not fear – Who is like God!’. And he disappeared. But I feel his presence and assistance.” (Diary of St Faustina, para.706)
Consecrate yourself to Mary
Our Lady said: Give your hearts to me and I will put Jesus in them and make you my apostles
Invite others to Pray the Rosary with you
August 25, 2019 Our Lady of Medjugorje said: “Dear children! Pray, work and witness with love for the Kingdom of Heaven that it may be good for you here on earth. Little children, God will bless your effort a hundred-fold; you will be witnesses among peoples, souls of unbelievers will feel the grace of conversion and Heaven will be grateful for your efforts and sacrifices. Little children, witness with the Rosary in hand that you are mine and decide for holiness. Thank you for having responded to my call”
Talk with them after the Rosary
Simply ask them what they were reflecting on during the Rosary, listen, understand and talk. This simple way of life is both powerful and effective if you live it.
