Michael serves as director of the Office for Liturgy and Sacramental Life for the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. Born in Kansas City, Michael grew up in Emporia, KS and attended Emporia State University, earning a bachelor's and master's degree before engaging in post-graduate studies in music at the University of Kansas and liturgy at St. John's School of Theology in Collegeville, MN. Michael is a professed third-order (secular) Franciscan, and a candidate for the permanent diaconate for the archdiocese. He has served as an adjunct instructor for the School of Faith for four years. He is the father of four children, and resides in Lawrence, KS.
