People both young and old take all kinds of substances for all kinds of reasons, but usually to change the way they feel. Three common examples of substances are alcohol, antidepressants, and marijuana.
What is the Catholic viewpoint on all of these substances?
Are they all morally the same, or are there important differences?
To understand substances we have to understand our own feelings: why we have them, and how we should cultivate them.
Join Holy Family School of Faith every First Thursday to explore the nature, purpose, and supernatural significance of sorrow and joy. We'll evaluate the different ways that people use drugs to change their emotions.
Then, we'll discuss what kinds of drug use are right and wrong, but also how to be fully human with all of the emotions of life.
